Gathering History

The Dewey Gathering  continues with the tradition started in 1995. The annual gathering in Dewey Beach Delaware is held every year over the Columbus Day weekend. This annual event is now over 20 years old.  

The first year of the event now known as The Dewey Gathering was held in 1995 and attracted nearly 80 greyhounds and 65 people. In years past the gathering has attracted more than 3,000 greyhounds and other breeds and 2,500 people.
